The role
Your missionsReporting to the workshop manager, you will shape metal structures before they are sent to the construction site:
Plan reading: Interpret assembly drawings and cutting lists provided by our design office.
Preparation and layout: Check, mark out, and position profiles, plates, gussets, and stiffeners with precision.
Tacking and assembly: Perform mechanical pre-assembly and tack welding (semi-automatic MAG/MIG process) while respecting the required tolerances.
Handling: Operate the overhead crane and handle heavy and bulky parts safely.
Quality control: Verify dimensions, squareness, and geometry of the assembled units, then ensure traceability marking.
Safety: Ensure scrupulous compliance with safety instructions and the wearing of PPE within the workshop.
The profile we're looking for
Profile soughtEducation: CAP, BEP, or Vocational Baccalaureate in industrial boilermaking, metalwork, metal structures, or equivalent.
Experience: First successful experience (internship/apprenticeship included) or confirmed profile in a similar position in a metal structural workshop.
Key skills
Rigorous mastery of technical plan reading.
Good knowledge of welding (MAG tacking).
CACES R484 (overhead crane) or a driving authorization is an appreciated asset.
Required qualities: Rigor, dimensional precision, team spirit, and a strong sense of safety.
