Key points
A BTS in Tourism or a specific airport ground handling agent certification is generally required, along with the Safety Training Certificate (CFS), which is mandatory to work in an airport.
The welcome agent focuses on passenger information and guidance, whereas the ground handling agent handles all commercial flight operations: check-in, boarding, and baggage management.
Shift work according to flight rotations, prolonged standing, and managing occasionally tense situations with passengers represent the main constraints of the job.
