Job descriptionRecruitment context

As part of its growth, our client is strengthening its Network Products Core team, in charge of developing critical network products for its cloud ecosystem. This recruitment is part of a strategy to develop new connectivity building blocks and consolidate existing services.

You will join an international, technical, and collaborative environment, within a team of mostly senior engineers. The team operates at the heart of the cloud infrastructure and works in close connection with product, support, documentation, and other technical teams. The organization values continuous improvement, experimentation, and knowledge sharing.

The position reports to the Network Products Core team manager.

The position aims to contribute to the design, development, and reliability of strategic network services for our client's cloud offering. The challenges focus on robustness, scalability, quality of service, and the ability to evolve critical products in a demanding production environment.

Your main missions will be as follows

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust network products

• Develop and evolve APIs and services at the heart of the network infrastructure

• Manage persistence and operation of service data via PostgreSQL

• Diagnose technical incidents, fix bugs, and contribute to resolving client issues

• Collaborate with product, support, documentation, and other technical teams

• Participate in the team's rotating on-call duty

• Contribute to discovery work, PoCs, and continuous improvement of tools and practices

• Participate in team rituals and the evolution of the technical roadmap

Profile soughtExperience and Education:

• Higher education in computer science, software development, systems, or networking

• Proven experience in software development, ideally in complex technical environments

• Significant experience in backend or systems development; exposure to infrastructure, cloud, or connectivity products is a real asset

Technical skills

• Proficiency in Rust and experience in API development, ideally in gRPC

• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL

• Solid network fundamentals: TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, VXLAN

• Knowledge of eBPF is a plus

• Familiarity with Kafka is appreciated

• Ability to intervene in critical production environments
