Our team of experts specializing in IT and digital recruitment is looking for a Linux / Kubernetes Systems Engineer (M/F) on a permanent contract (CDI) for its client, a specialist in the distribution of construction materials.

Recruitment context

As part of a new position, you will report to the Server Infrastructure Manager and work in close collaboration with all the Group's system and network administrators/engineers. The Linux engineer's mission is to ensure the security and smooth continuous operation of IT systems and environments.

This includes the operational maintenance of Linux and Kubernetes server environments, ensuring their regular updates and the application of security policies defined by the CISO and the Server Infrastructure Manager.

Your main missions / responsibilities will be as follows

  • 📝 Operational maintenance of Linux/Kubernetes server environments: ensure their availability, apply regular updates, and guarantee compliance with security policies defined by the CISO and the Server Infrastructure Manager

  • 💻 System and infrastructure hardening: apply patches, configure environments according to security standards, manage vulnerabilities, and strengthen access controls

  • ↔ Collaboration & communication: work closely with IT, Dev, security, and infrastructure teams to align actions and disseminate best practices

Profile sought

Experience and Education

With a Master's degree (Bac +5) in computer science, cybersecurity, or equivalent (engineering school, university), you have significant experience (minimum 3 years) in Linux systems administration.

Technical skills

  • You have solid experience with Linux environments (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or equivalent);

  • You have advanced mastery of Kubernetes;

  • Knowledge of Mysql clustering is a major asset;

  • Knowledge of Vmware Tanzu solutions will be a plus;

  • Notions of SecOps best practices (monitoring, hardening, vulnerability management, incident detection/response) and mastery of supervision tools and solutions (Centreon, Grafana, etc.) are also a plus.
