Job descriptionAs a human-sized international freight forwarder, we make operational rigor and customer proximity our greatest growth levers. As part of our development and the structuring of our Overseas activities, we are looking for a true leader capable of combining strategic vision, team management, and flow management.
The challenge awaiting you: Be the guarantor of the performance, profitability, and service quality of the maritime activity (Import / Export), while positioning yourself to structure the company of tomorrow.
Your Main Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Management
● Work closely with General Management to define the strategic directions of the Overseas division.
● Drive the financial performance of the department (analysis of gross margin per file, productivity, optimization of operating costs).
● Actively participate in the company's overall organizational decisions.
2. Team Management & Leadership
● Supervise, support, and develop the skills of your team.
● Organize the distribution of workload, set individual objectives, and conduct interviews.
● Develop autonomy, versatility, and a spirit of continuous improvement within the department.
3. Maritime Operations & Quality Management (FCL, LCL, Cross Trade)
● Supervise operational flows from A to Z and serve as the ultimate technical reference for the team.
● Guarantee strict compliance with deadlines, customer commitments, and documentary/customs compliance.
● Intervene directly to support the management of disputes or sensitive files with high added value.
● Actively participate in maintaining our standards and regulatory procedures (AEO, compliance).
4. Commercial Development & Customer Relations
● Maintain a very close relationship with our strategic clients and key accounts.
● Support the sales team on technical files and identify growth opportunities.
● Manage and validate responses to major maritime tenders.
Profile Sought
● Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in maritime transit, with confirmed and successful managerial experience within a freight forwarder.
● Technical Skills: Absolute mastery of Import/Export operations (Incoterms, transport contracts, customs regulations).
● Systems (Imperative): Excellent operational mastery of CargoWise and SONE software packages.
● Languages: Fluent professional English (written and spoken) essential for daily use.
● Professional qualities: Natural leadership, extreme rigor, high stress resistance, results-oriented, and a keen sense of customer service. A "hands-on" profile (player-coach) is essential to thrive in our structure.
