It is rare for an ocean racing team to open its doors for an entire competition season.

It is in Bretagne Sud, the global epicentre of ocean racing, that a team fromMediawanfilmed night and day to tell the story of this fascinating yet still relatively unknown world.

Actual group, a major player in employment in France, made this unprecedented behind-the-scenes immersion into anUltimproject (the largest racing boat in the world) possible.

The goal?Sincerely reveal the most collective of individual sports and feel the adrenaline of that precious concept: “succeeding together”.

Across 6 episodes, this series proves that reality easily rivals fiction when it comes topushing boundaries.

Being a skipper is a Monday-to-Friday job

“This series is finally an opportunity to show that a skipper’s life isn't just about one race a year! People don't realize the work involved ahead of races, the whole preparation phase, all the skills revolving around this world—it's monumental! I'd like the general public to realize that ocean racing is a team sport where trust is essential. Beyond our shared passion for the sea, sailing is a motorsport involving a real technical and technological challenge. It's rare to see all the life on shore, the team working before, during, and after sailing. This back-office team is one of the keys to our performance.”

Anthony Marchand – skipper of Actual Ultim 4

Never has a boat been sofast. These cutting-edge,32mlong machines with a 37m mast are capable of sailing faster than the wind andflyingabove the water at nearly100 km/h. These 6 intense and authentic episodes follow Team Actual's preparation for theTransat Café L’Or, a legendary transatlantic race connecting Le Havre to La Martinique. Throughout the episodes, the series captures key moments and reveals the work behind the scenes upon which the performance of ateamis built.

This series is the logical continuation of a commitment based on the synergy between business and the sea

“If Actual group has been involved in ocean racing for so long, it's because this discipline resonates deeply with its values. In an Ultim project, as in business, nothing ambitious can be built alone, especially when facing turbulent times. It is individual talents dedicated to collective effort that lead to excellence and make achieving the wildest challenges possible, like the Transat Café l'Or.”

Samuel Tual – President of Actual group
