Holberton School integrates ChatGPT into its teaching method.
Specializing in digital skills training, Holberton School (Actual group) has naturally embraced the opportunities offered by ChatGPT and artificial intelligence, for both the teaching staff and students. All while ensuring ethical and responsible use.
The arrival of ChatGPT – an artificial intelligence (AI) tool capable of generating any type of text on demand – certainly represents a major shift in the editorial content creation process. Its simplicity and speed make it a particularly effective tool. This is an opportunity that Holberton School – part of Actual group's training network – identified over a year ago, and which has since been used daily by the management team. Delegating non-"sensitive" communication content or marketing copy to ChatGPT frees up time from tedious writing tasks. The teaching team can thus focus on higher value-added projects at the core of their profession: being "humanly" present for the students.

ChatGPT has also been added to the "framework"—the process students must follow when stuck on a problem. Precise problem identification, asking peers for help, reaching out to the international Holberton community… are a few of the steps in resolving an issue. Since the January intake, using AI has become part of this framework. Students can now ask ChatGPT for help in understanding projects, as well as using other AIs, for instance to write code.
A benchmark in digital training, Holberton School advocates for embracing change and adopting new technologies. This approach is rooted in an ethical and responsible mindset. To this end, students sign the international Holberton-Turing oath (www.holbertonturingoath.org), which unites and raises awareness among AI professionals around moral and ethical values. In doing so, they commit to using their skills with respect for human dignity.
Today, ChatGPT serves as an additional tool that complements search engines or critical thinking, but does not replace them. However, it helps accelerate project progress and problem-solving. Learning to master new technologies that businesses seek, now and in the future, is one of the key priorities of the training programs offered by Actual group. Holberton School has fully seized this opportunity: AI is now viewed as an extra colleague strengthening the teaching team and a new source of coaching for students.
