ESUP opens an innovative campus in the heart of La Défense
On June 17, the new ESUP campus, the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce et de Management, opened its doors in La Défense. A showcase embodying the training vision of Actual group, a major player in the labor and employment market.
By setting up in the heart of the La Défense district, ESUP is continuing to consolidate its campuses. Actual group's Ecole Supérieure de Commerce et de Management is thus bringing together its two Paris locations into a single site, designed to become the flagship of Actual group's commitment to training and job hunting. ESUP, Holberton School (the digital skills training school), and an Actual agency will all be under the same roof. Bringing these entities together aims to create a strong hub of attraction by building bridges between training schools and the agency, which specializes in the tertiary sector. This will help students find temporary assignments, summer jobs, fixed-term contracts (CDD), or permanent contracts (CDI) upon graduation. Hands-on experience in companies remains the cornerstone of ESUP's teaching methodology.

The choice of La Défense meets a dual objective: to be at the heart of the service sector activity in Île-de-France and to offer a quality environment for students. The new Paris campus is located along the banks of the Seine, making it easy to engage in sports or leisure activities. The premises span 4,000 m², including 37 classrooms, an amphitheater, and two patios. This welcoming and modular layout contributes to creating an environment conducive to learning and student fulfillment. This is an important factor to ensure that students, who have been more volatile since the end of the Covid period, face no interruptions in their learning path and can complete their training under the best possible conditions to earn their degree.
ESUP's teaching methodology is based on in-person attendance, the quality of the relationship with the educational team – made up of former professionals and active industry experts – and hands-on corporate experience through work-study programs. 4 hybrid recording rooms (audio and video) aim to develop collaborative teaching through the involvement of trainers from across France, whether from other ESUP campuses or independent experts who cannot travel. These tools also help facilitate the inclusion of students facing mobility issues – such as disability or long-term illness – by broadcasting classes remotely. Accessibility to training for all remains one of Actual's core values. This accessibility is also geographical, with the ESUP building located right at the exit of the Esplanade de La Défense station on metro line 1.
For the upcoming academic year, the new ESUP campus in La Défense will welcome nearly 650 students. The goal is to reach 1,000 students within 3 to 5 years. The 2023-2024 start dates will be gradual: late August for 2nd-year students, late September for newcomers, and mid-October for 3rd, 4th, and 5th-year students. This new campus will serve as a showcase for Actual group's ecosystem by bringing together ESUP, Holberton School, and an Actual agency specializing in the tertiary sector on a single site. Breaking down the walls between youth training and the corporate world is a long-standing commitment of Actual group.
