Expert Network Engineer (M/F)

The role

Actual Talent Metz is looking for its client, an IT service provider, for an Expert Network Engineer

Hybrid Build & Run (M/F) for a long-term temporary mission based in Strasbourg.

Contract information:

Location: Strasbourg
Contract: Temporary (3 months renewable)
Salary: €55k to €62k gross annual depending on profile and experience.
Start date: Immediate
Organization: Mixed 50% Project (Build) / 50% Operations (Run).

Here are the missions that will be entrusted to you

Technical management and execution of the migration of Meraki infrastructures (switching from the MX solution to ION) and connection of remote sites.
Expert administration of Cisco Nexus switches and advanced management of Palo Alto firewalls (application filtering, VPN).
Optimization of dynamic routing protocols (BGP/IBGP) and management of WAN interconnections (Orange VPN).
Automation of network operations and deployments via Python scripting and a DevOps approach.
Rigorous maintenance of IPAM (NetBox) and level 3 support on critical global incidents.

The profile we're looking for

Profile sought

Master's degree (Bac+5) specializing in Networks and Telecoms.
8 to 10 years of minimum experience on large-scale international networks.
Confirmed mastery of the Cisco Meraki ecosystem, Cisco Nexus technologies, and Palo Alto security.
Real ability to automate in Python and solid culture of BGP routing.
Strategic vision combined with operational rigor, ability to document complex architectures, and interpersonal ease with external partners.
