Job offer : Proximity Technician (M/F)

Intervenes on local IT infrastructures of high schools (server rooms, racks, network and security equipment). The position is centered on proximity interventions with a strong focus on servers and systems, in a multi-site environment (approximately 200 high schools).

Interventions are carried out

during planned proactive visits (preventive, status check, updates) during interventions on infrastructural incidents/it acts in connection with central operations teams and L2/L3 teams.

Main missions

1. Operation of on-premise IT infrastructures

Operation and supervision of physical and virtualized servers

Management of IT racks

• cabling
• patching
• organization and compliance
• Operation of storage solutions (SAN / NAS)
• Monitoring of infrastructure availability and performance

2. Datacenters and technical rooms

Proximity interventions in datacenter / server rooms

Verification of operating conditions

• power supply
• cooling
• rack occupancy
• Integration and maintenance of new equipment
• Application of operating and security procedures

3. Network and connectivity

Operation of network equipment

• switches
• routers
• Diagnosis of local network incidents
• Verification of inter-site connectivity
• Escalation to L2/L3 network teams if necessary

4. Maintenance and incidents

Execution of operations for

• preventive maintenance
• corrective maintenance
• Handling of infrastructure incidents
• Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
• Participation in planned and emergency interventions

• To support our teams as an IT Technician (M/F), we are looking for a dynamic person with solid technical expertise and an excellent sense of customer service.

The ideal candidate ideally holds a 2-year IT degree (Bac+2) and has successful experience of at least 2 years in a similar position.

You have perfect mastery of systems and network administration, IT park management, and user support. Your analytical capacity and your ability to resolve complex incidents independently will be decisive assets.

Endowed with excellent interpersonal skills, you know how to demonstrate pedagogy with users and appreciate collaborative work. Mastery of Windows and Linux environments, as well as notions of virtualization, are highly appreciated to carry out your missions.
