The role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you are the technical and operational point of contact for the workshop. You support the manufacturing teams on a daily basis and ensure the smooth running of production, from the preparation of the works to the final inspection.

In this capacity, you

  • Organize and distribute the team's activities according to priorities, deadlines, and individual skills, while monitoring the progress of production.
  • Provide your technical expertise to employees and intervene directly on issues encountered in manufacturing to find adapted and pragmatic solutions.
  • Participate in production, particularly on the most technical or complex projects, to maintain real proximity to the field and support the team when necessary.
  • Ensure the quality and compliance of the works, by relying on plans and manufacturing files and by checking the various stages of completion.
  • Support the skill development of employees by passing on your know-how, providing daily technical support, and gradually fostering their autonomy.
  • Guarantee the proper organization and safety of the workshop, ensuring compliance with work methods, safety instructions, tidiness, and the proper use of equipment.
  • Are proactive in improving the workshop, by identifying areas for improvement regarding manufacturing methods, organization, equipment, and collective performance.

The profile we're looking for

We are looking above all for a field professional, with solid experience in manufacturing and capable of naturally taking the lead of a team.

You are recognized for your

  • Experience in custom or small-batch manufacturing, ideally in wood/aluminum joinery, metalwork, locksmithing, boilermaking, or layout.
  • Good command of reading plans and manufacturing/assembly techniques.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues and propose concrete solutions.
  • First experience in team leadership or as a technical lead appreciated.
  • Natural leadership, pedagogy, and a taste for passing on know-how.
  • Organization, rigor, and ability to manage priorities.
  • Autonomy, pragmatism, and strong appetite for the field.
