Job offer : Technical Manager Land Systems (M/F)
The role
Your missions
- Analyze the needs expressed in the technical and functional specifications
- Participate in the upstream phases of responding to calls for tenders (costing, feasibility, technical solutions)
- Conduct feasibility studies and define product/system development logic
- Define the technical guidelines of the project in connection with the methods teams for the industrialization of subsystems
- Guarantee compliance with architecture constraints (volume, mass, energy) and their proper application
- Ensure pre-dimensioning and design choices in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements (quality, costs, deadlines)
- Define and integrate ergonomic constraints
- Guarantee the maintenance of technical performance and the consistency of the chosen solutions
- Manage the technical estimate and the mass balance of the systems
- Supervise and coordinate the technical teams in charge of development and qualification
- Ensure technical monitoring of suppliers and partners and guarantee the fulfillment of technical commitments
- Be the privileged technical contact for the client as well as the various project stakeholders (project manager, quality, purchasing, methods, production, etc.)
- Provide technical support during the realization, assembly, mounting, and commissioning phases
- Actively participate in the qualification phases of the developed systems
The profile we're looking for
With an Engineering degree (Bac+5) in mechanics or an equivalent field, you have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a Design Office (mechanical design and pre-dimensioning), including at least 3 years as a Technical Manager on industrial projects.
Experience in the Defense sector is a major asset.
You ideally have experience in constrained environments, particularly related to Defense tenders and contracts.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CAD tools
- Knowledge of calculation and pre-dimensioning
- Use of PLM tools
- Good understanding of complex mechanical systems and their industrialization
Languages & mobility
- Fluent English essential
- Occasional travel in France and internationally (clients and suppliers)

Within the Defense Business Unit, reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the design and technical coordination of complex mechanical systems and subsystems projects, primarily in the mechanical field, within the Defense sector.
Your scope includes applications intended for Engineering (bridging systems, robots, special vehicles). You are responsible for the technical consistency of the solutions developed, from the upstream phases to the final qualification.
In this capacity, you will be involved throughout the project cycle, interfacing with internal teams and external partners.
