The role

In an international context for the development of an autonomous truck dedicated to mining environments. A Safety team manages all functional safety activities, from risk analysis and the definition of safety functions to system design and component selection. To strengthen this dynamic, we are looking for a Safety / Functional Safety Technical Manager (M/F) for our client who will take on a key role in steering and coordinating Safety activities, with particular responsibility for the technical supervision of the team and the interface with the client and partners. Your responsibilities:As a Safety Technical Manager, you play a key role in steering functional safety activities throughout the project cycle. Your main missions include:

  • Understand the expectations and constraints of the client and partners, and ensure they are properly taken into account in Safety activities;
  • Manage the drafting of the project safety plan and guarantee its consistency throughout the development cycle;
  • Supervise and coordinate Safety activities carried out according to the V-cycle, in connection with system, hardware, and software teams;
  • Contribute to risk analysis and supervise various studies (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA...);
  • Guarantee the quality of safety specifications and their proper integration into the system design;
  • Technically supervise the project's Safety engineers and act as a point of reference for multidisciplinary teams;
  • Provide advice and training to internal teams and the client on topics related to functional safety.

The profile we're looking for

Profile sought

  • Master's degree (Bac +5), you have at least 2 years of experience in safety;
  • You have knowledge of the vehicle environment (ideally trucks) or even autonomous vehicles;
  • You enjoy working in a team (multidisciplinary) and appreciate international environments.

Technical skills

  • Mastery of risk analysis;
  • Knowledge of standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508;
  • Writing skills (in French and English);
  • Fluent English (B2 minimum).
