The role
The Mediation service intervenes with the French Banking Federation (FBF) and aims to offer a simple, fast, and free solution for the consumer to disputes that oppose them to a professional and that arise from the sales or service contracts that bind them.
The French Banking Federation (FBF) is the professional organization that represents all banks established in France. It has 340 member banking companies of all sizes, French or foreign (115 subsidiaries or branches of foreign banks).
The profile we're looking for
- Master 2 in business law, banking law, or consumer law,
- Mandatory banking experience (minimum 5 years of experience),
- Very good analytical, writing, and synthesis skills,
- Very good interpersonal skills, ability to exchange and share expertise,
- Responsiveness and adaptability.

The company
FEDERATION BANCAIRE FRANCAISE
The mediation service for the FBF is looking for a senior legal expert (M/F) for a permanent contract.
Your missions
- You will manage a portfolio of mediation cases, independently, under the supervision of your team manager, and in interaction with other members of the mediation service for the FBF.
You will be specifically responsible for
- analyzing the various elements of the file (referral and client documents, including technical elements transmitted by the bank),
- drafting an analysis proposal with regard to legal rules (in particular the Consumer Code, Monetary and Financial Code) and in compliance with the mediator's doctrine, in particular equity,
- drafting a proposal for the mediator's opinion,
- sending the opinion after its signature to both parties (client and bank),
- collecting the responses from both parties and following the file until its closure.
- You may validate analyses drafted by other legal experts.
- You will participate in the drafting or review of standard paragraphs or opinions on recurring situations, by integrating new texts and case law.
- You will be required to participate in the drafting of the Mediator's annual report, in particular by writing practical cases.
- You will participate in various internal meetings and meetings with banks, and will actively contribute to exchanges within the team, by providing your banking expertise, and by sharing regulatory or jurisprudential advances on your reference subjects.
Upon your arrival, you will follow an integration path including several days within the team responsible in particular for the reception and analysis of the admissibility of referrals under the control of the Mediator.
