Job description
As part of a staff replacement and the launch of a new strategic project, Mu-Test is recruiting an FPGA Engineer (M/F).
Reporting to Ambroise Rochedix, you will join the design office and participate in the FPGA design and development of electronic boards integrated into the company's machines. You will work within a multidisciplinary project environment, interacting with teams based in France, Singapore, as well as subcontractors in India.
You will work in close collaboration with four areas of expertise: mechanics, hardware, software, calibration, and diagnostics. Your role consists of designing optimized FPGA architectures for high-frequency machines, with demanding management of timing, clock cycles, and fast signals.
You will develop and implement functional blocks in VHDL or Verilog for one of the system's main boards. You will also ensure the integration of FPGA modules with other components, particularly for fast communication via the AURORA link.
A significant part of the position focuses on performance optimization and reliability. You will work on speed constraints of 100 MHz and above, analyze timing issues, contribute to resolving difficulties related to clock cycles, and participate in the calibration and diagnostic phases of the boards to ensure the precision of the tests performed by the machines.
You will also be involved in project integration phases, potentially including on-site visits to clients in the United States or Taiwan. You will participate in project reviews, monitor technical subjects, and contribute to design documentation to ensure technical objectives and deadlines are met.
The position is set in an international, technical, and demanding context, with a central objective: to contribute to the development, optimization, and reliability of the speed performance of the FPGAs integrated into Mu-Test equipment.
