## **Your questions, our answers**

The most sought-after temporary jobs in construction are [**masons**](https://www.actualgroup.com/offres-emploi?q=macon), [**formwork carpenters**](https://www.actualgroup.com/offres-emploi?q=coffreur-bancheur), [**electricians**](https://www.actualgroup.com/offres-emploi?q=electricien), [**plumbers**](https://www.actualgroup.com/offres-emploi?q=plombier), [**laborers**](https://www.actualgroup.com/offres-emploi?q=manoeuvre), [**equipment operators**](https://www.actualgroup.com/offres-emploi?q=conducteur-engins), and [**team leaders**](https://www.actualgroup.com/offres-emploi?q=chef-equipe). The sector's hiring challenges make it one of the most open to candidates, including beginners.

You must be registered with an employment agency and have personal protective equipment, which is usually provided. Some positions require specific certifications: CACES for equipment operation, electrical certification for electricians, and working-at-height training for certain sites. These training courses can be funded as part of temporary employment.

Compensation depends on the job, qualification, and the collective agreement scale for construction or public works. For temporary workers, this is supplemented by end-of-assignment and paid leave allowances, as well as, depending on the site, meal vouchers and travel allowances.

Yes, construction is one of the most accessible sectors for beginners and career changers. Laborer and site assistant positions allow you to enter the trade without a degree, and then gain qualifications through continuing education or work-study programs. Companies primarily value motivation, punctuality, and teamwork.

The temporary agency assigns you to a construction or public works company for the duration of a project or during peak periods. You are an employee of the agency, which manages your payroll, benefits, and monitoring. Assignments can last from a few days to several months and are renewable based on the progress of the work.
