## **The role**

We are recruiting for M TAG, the SPL that operates the public transport network of the Grenoble metropolitan area, a Manager for its Engineering, Projects and Contracts (IPM) department for rolling stock.

In recent years, the department has undergone significant restructuring: transition from SEM to SPL, internalization of skills, and increasing delegation of investment projects by SMMAG, the organizing authority. The team has grown and has been largely renewed. M TAG is now looking for a manager capable of helping it grow and getting the best out of it.

### Your missions

You will report to the Director of Asset Maintenance, a member of the Executive Committee. You will lead maintenance engineering, investment projects, and technical contracts for bus and tram rolling stock, ensuring safety, availability, and cost control.

- **Manage the department**: You will supervise a team of about fifteen engineers and technicians divided into two activities. The first is Maintenance Engineering and Methods (workshop support, maintenance ranges, technical modifications). The second is Projects (project management assistance, investments, contracts). You will set priorities, make decisions, and help the teams progress by leveraging their expertise.

- **Lead a project portfolio**: Several million euros of investments per year carried by M TAG, and a contribution to major SMMAG programs, representing several hundred million euros over the coming years. You will monitor costs, deadlines, risks, and performance. You will support your project managers at key stages: meetings with SMMAG, final negotiations, acceptance, and commissioning.

- **Supervise public procurement**: Every year, several new contracts are launched, and you will follow them from preparation to closure. You will review technical documents and participate in bid analysis, with the support of the Purchasing department.

- **Coordinate and represent**: You will work with maintenance workshops, operations, infrastructure, purchasing, and HR. Externally, you will represent the department to SMMAG, manufacturers, and suppliers.

**Structuring projects, rare in the life of a network**

- Arrival of new tram sets at the Gières site from the end of 2028
- Mid-life operation and life extension of Citadis tram sets
- Major tram component overhauls (bogies, brake units...)
- Project management assistance for the acquisition of electric buses from 2027 (charging systems, call for tenders, acceptance)
- Dismantling and recycling of old TFS tram sets

**Your profile**

- You are an engineer, or you have significant equivalent experience.
- You have confirmed experience, in several positions, in managing technical projects and teams of engineers or technicians.
- You have a genuine technical culture in rail and/or passenger transport (bus, tram, train rolling stock). Profiles from heavy vehicles, cable transport, or industrial maintenance are also welcome.
- You are familiar with maintenance methods. Experience with public procurement is a real plus, but it can be acquired.
- You know how to take a step back, argue calmly with institutional stakeholders, and delegate. You have a sense of public service.
