## **The role**

About the company

Actual Talent is the European specialist in Talent Acquisition and Assessment for Actual group. We are recruiting **for one of our clients, an international industrial company specializing in the manufacture of technical non-wovens,** **a Senior Process Engineer.**

**Context**

As part of the consolidation of European non-woven production in France, the Senior Process Engineer is part of the factory's manufacturing team and reports directly to the plant manager. The position is based in Bezons until the end of 2026, then at the new site in Les Mureaux. Their main responsibility is to initiate and execute product and process improvement projects and programs for Solmax's key technologies at the site, so that the factory maintains and strengthens its long-term competitive position. The position also supports innovation projects defined by the EMEA marketing/innovation team and contributes to Capex projects.

**Main recruitment challenge**

Evolving site practices and engaging teams in change, in the context of an industrial transfer (Bezons → Les Mureaux). The candidate must be able to formalize know-how that is currently largely oral into written and transmissible standards.

**Responsibilities**

• Understand the non-woven production process and identify key parameters influencing performance, product quality, and productivity.

• Define, with the factory management team, a portfolio of improvement projects, then lead and take charge of process improvement projects.

• Drive and actively lead the Lean / Continuous Improvement approach on site — beyond project management, be a daily driver of the continuous improvement culture among field teams.

• Formalize and standardize the site's know-how and best practices, currently mostly transmitted orally, in order to secure and sustain critical skills in the context of the site transfer.

• Contribute to the execution and sometimes lead innovation projects, defined with the EMEA innovation team.

• Work with the plant manager and the maintenance team to define modernization or equipment renewal needs, and execute the implementation of these projects. • Carry out trials for process improvement, product innovation, or raw material qualification; organize and analyze validation and laboratory tests; write reports and follow up on project actions (French and English).

• Collaborate with internal partners (production, quality, maintenance, marketing & innovation) and external partners (university laboratories, testing laboratories, suppliers, pilot lines).

• Participate in the control and validation of new products, quality monitoring, analysis of non-conformities, and implementation of corrective actions.

• Support and train production teams during trials and for industrial performance improvement — accompany and develop the skills of operators, not just transmit instructions.

• Contribute to the definition of Capex applications and support their implementation.

**Profile sought**

Technical skills (important, but not exclusive)

• Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in process engineering / chemical or materials engineering (or similar); skills in plastic extrusion are a plus, not a deal-breaker.

• Significant professional experience in a similar function (senior position). • Project management, continuous improvement tools. Continuous improvement & field posture (now a major criterion)

• Real and proven practice of Lean / Continuous Improvement (5S, SMED, VSM, Kaizen, TPM, Six Sigma…), demonstrated by concrete results in the field, not just certifications.

• Strong field presence, proximity to operators and production teams.

• Proven ability to formalize and transmit technical know-how into written standards. • Experience in change management — ideally in a context of transformation, transfer, or industrial site startup. Personality (very important criterion)

• Dynamic, positive, collaborative. • Pedagogical, comfortable training and developing team skills.

• Close to operators and the field, in a posture of listening as much as management. • Good organizational sense, proactivity, perseverance, adaptability, resourcefulness, tenacity, and curiosity.

**Languages • Professional English required (essential) — communication with the EMEA team, report writing. • French necessary for reports and daily field exchanges.**
