# **Holberton training programs awarded the Grande École du Numérique label.**

## **Holberton School has just received the Grande École du Numérique (GEN) label for its Full-stack and Machine learning training programs. A recognition of the values promoted by the school in the economic, social, and territorial spheres.**

Created in 2015 by the French government, the Grande École du Numérique is a public interest group aimed at developing skills in digital professions. Its ambition is to address three main types of challenges: an economic challenge by offering, through high-quality training, skills aligned with business needs; an inclusive challenge by guaranteeing access for all, regardless of economic, social, or educational background; and a territorial challenge by ensuring a coherent geographical distribution of training hubs. All of these commitments championed by the GEN are part of Holberton School's DNA.

## **Designed by two French founders, this digital tech school was born in California, in the cradle of tech.**

Integrated into Actual group's training network, it operates six campuses in Lille, Laval, Paris, Toulouse, Thonon-les-Bains, and Bordeaux. Admission is via an online test based mainly on applicants' motivation and commitment to the workload. There are therefore no prerequisites, whether in terms of educational background or profile. Being accessible to all also means removing financial barriers. Thanks to a banking partnership, Holberton School offers full funding for the program until employment is obtained, meaning zero out-of-pocket expenses for students.

### **For Holberton School, earning the GEN label is recognition of the quality and relevance of its innovative teaching method.**

Skills are acquired without teachers through project-based learning, ensuring perfect alignment with business needs. Facilitating access to training for women, low-skilled profiles, or those distant from the job market (residents of priority neighborhoods and rural revitalization zones) is a fundamental commitment for Holberton School. Today's developers are building tomorrow's digital world in their own image. It is therefore an ethical duty that algorithms be created by engineers with profiles representative of society in all its diversity. Finally, thanks to the GEN label, learners in the Full-stack and Machine learning programs benefit from student status, giving them access to CROUS services (grants, housing, dining, financial aid, etc.).

### **Holberton School will pursue this approach and respond to upcoming calls for projects issued by the GEN.**

The goal: to have all of its training programs certified (AR/VR and Blockchain, in addition to Full-stack and Machine learning) across existing campuses as well as those currently opening. This initiative advocating for access to training for all aligns with the "work for all" concept championed by Actual group, of which Holberton forms a link in the school network alongside ESUP and Lektio.

**Thanks to this training ecosystem, Actual group provides a response to business needs and contributes to the goal of training 400,000 developers by 2030 to address the talent shortage in the sector.**
