Managed by the Toulouse campus, this year marks Holberton's commitment to rooting itself in local communities, as close as possible to students and businesses. Established in France since 2021, Holberton School – part of Actual group's network of schools – offers an innovative teaching method for digital professions across six campuses: Lille, Paris, Laval, Toulouse, Thonon-les-Bains and Bordeaux. To strengthen its nationwide coverage, facilitate access to IT development training, and get closer to employment hubs, the Toulouse campus will open a branch in Rodez starting June 5th. This pilot initiative, consistent with the local service strategy deployed by Actual group, is destined to be replicated with other extensions as well as other campuses. It is a way to best meet the strong demand for digital skills. As part of a philanthropic initiative, it offers to cover full tuition fees for the first year of training for students who lack financial resources. The Holberton School extension aligns with Fond’Actions Jeunes' objective to create an attractive, unifying local ecosystem for under-30s. This inclusive initiative resonates with the values of Holberton School and Actual group, which consider accessibility for all a fundamental value. No specific diploma or background is required to apply, the sole recruitment criterion being the drive to succeed. Doing everything possible to build confidence in men and women looking for work is one of Actual group's core commitments. Holberton School will bring its expertise in teaching software development professions (Full-Stack, Front-End, Back-End Web Developer, AR/VR, Machine Learning, Blockchain or DevOps). Managed by the Toulouse academic team, the Rodez branch will operate like the other campuses: teacherless, project-based, and fully in English. This hybrid training will also offer great flexibility for work-life balance, as only one day per week of in-person attendance is mandatory. This will make it possible to reach candidates from more rural areas who do not live in Rodez. Inclusion and personal fulfillment through a job of choice are among Actual group's core convictions. Group workshops will take place in a third place, la StAtion, a multidisciplinary workspace and meeting venue.
