*Are you looking for a job, but you left school early or didn't follow the traditional path? Don't panic, there are many growing sectors recruiting without a degree. Finding a job when you haven't completed higher education, don't hold any qualifications, or want to change careers can seem complex. The good news? According to France Travail's 2026 Labor Needs Survey (BMO), nearly 2.3 million recruitment projects are announced for the year, and a large portion involves low- or unskilled jobs: catering, personal care, agriculture, cleaning... You have every chance of finding work easily and quickly.*

Indeed, many companies hire without any entry requirements other than strong motivation and personal qualities. No degree doesn't mean no assets! Throughout your professional career, you have certainly developed sufficient skills and soft skills to land a job without a degree.

No work experience? Think about temping! Accumulating temporary assignments will allow you to quickly build up your resume and discover many new professions. Note also that in sectors with many positions to fill or those struggling to recruit, companies are increasingly offering training upon hiring.

In any case, turn to Actual employment agencies, experts in their fields: they will support you in highlighting your skills.

Here is a quick overview of the jobs recruiting the most without a degree.

## Tertiary sector jobs accessible without a degree or qualification

### Customer relations jobs

Do you have a sense of communication and a taste for customer relations? Customer account manager and customer service advisor positions remain open to beginners: companies train their new recruits internally and therefore welcome all types of profiles.

Furthermore, after some time, these jobs easily lead to supervisory roles such as supervisor or team leader.

### Logistics jobs

The logistics sector, undergoing major technological changes, also offers many job opportunities accessible without a degree, with interesting prospects for career progression to positions such as logistics team leader. This is particularly true for the following jobs:

- order picker;
- warehouse worker;
- packaging operator;
- dock worker.

No degree, but hold a CACES certification? Opt for the role of forklift driver (CACES R.489 categories 1, 3, 5).

### Retail and sales jobs

Retail is one of the most promising sectors when you don't have a degree. Qualities such as a welcoming attitude and good interpersonal skills are often enough to stand out and land a position as a shelf stocker or cashier.

### Hospitality and catering jobs

This sector is in constant demand for waiters, dishwashers, receptionists, room attendants... especially because these are jobs where seasonality plays an important role. These positions remain open to all profiles, without a degree or qualifications. It is also one of the top sources of employment in France: kitchen assistants and versatile catering staff are at the top of the most sought-after jobs (97,100 recruitment projects according to France Travail's 2026 BMO survey).

### Environment and cleaning jobs

Often misunderstood, jobs in the environment and cleaning sectors are nevertheless in high demand on the job market and easily accessible. Think of sorting operators in centers that recycle products, packaging, and waste.

This sector also includes jobs related to business services, such as premises cleaning and maintenance operators. A job that hires massively and provides quick access or return to employment. Career progression is also possible here. Professionals can specialize in specific equipment or machinery through short training courses and certifications.

### Personal care and home services jobs

Childcare, home care helper, small repairs and garden maintenance worker...: all these jobs dedicated to making daily life easier for families and vulnerable people often offer part-time permanent (CDI) positions without any degree or training requirements at entry.

## Secondary sector jobs accessible without a degree or qualification

### Viticulture and winemaking jobs

The wine sector is recruiting! And not just during the harvest! Assignments and job profiles are very varied in this sector. Many jobs requiring no degree or prior training (if you are interested and motivated) allow you to take your first steps in this promising sector:

### Agrifood industry jobs

The agrifood sector is actively hiring, particularly in production and sales roles. Here again, jobs without a degree are open for employment:

- production operator or agrifood worker;

### Digital infrastructure jobs

The digital infrastructure sector covers all activities required to deploy mobile and fixed high-speed networks. The deployment of fiber optics and the gradual phase-out of the copper network generate a long-term need for labor. Among the sought-after jobs is telecom installer and splicer, accessible without a degree. Others that usually require a degree may open their doors to you depending on your experience:

- maintenance technician;
- telecoms business manager;
- construction manager.

## What about BTP (construction) jobs?

When thinking of jobs without a degree, people often think of the construction and building sector (BTP). As one of the largest employers in France, the BTP sector offers many positions without a degree, with great prospects for advancement as experience is gained. However, these are technical jobs requiring professional qualifications. To acquire them, there are many solutions, including:

- CAP through an apprenticeship;
- professional qualifications issued by the Ministry of Labor;
- work-study training programs for young adults and adults.

### Public works jobs

- public works driver (requires one or more CACES certifications);
- public works & road mason (experience and/or degree);
- pipe layer (experience and/or degree);
- site supervisor (experience and/or degree);
- team leader (experience and/or degree).

### Finishing works jobs

- joiner/carpenter (experience and/or degree);
- painter (experience and/or degree);
- drywaller (experience and/or degree);
- plumber / heating plumber (experience and/or degree);
- electrician (experience and/or degree + certifications).

### Structural works jobs

- reinforcer / mason (experience and/or degree);
- finishing mason (experience and/or degree);
- traditional stone mason (experience and/or degree);
- crane operator (experience and/or degree + CACES).

Want to see how things work on a construction site before committing to a training program? Join the sector as a beginner laborer. This versatile, entry-level worker carries out various handling and team assistance tasks. A great way to take a first step into the BTP sector!

## In short

Yet, they represent an interesting career opportunity for candidates. Whether learning on the job or through short training courses for more specialized roles, they all offer real possibilities for advancement thanks to experience.

Finally, note that many companies open their doors to unqualified candidates and beginners whom they train internally: a guarantee of securing a long-term position for the most motivated!
